Moving in to a new abode can be quite the adventure. With all the moving and tidying up, things can get hectic pretty quickly. Most likely, you're going to forget to buy a few things, and chairs are at the top of that list. You're probably going to be sitting in a chair of some sort for years on end, so we think it's pretty crucial that you find yourself a good one and not overlook this. Here are some key things to look out for when buying a new chair:
- Height ? An ergonomic chair should be just the right height to contour to your body's needs. You don't want to be slouching all day, so make sure to actually sit in a few and allow your legs to gel into their natural habitat.
- Armrest ? Lack of armrests can actually cause shoulder problems, believe it or not. If a chair doesn't have armrests, I would be cautious. To play it safe, make sure to find a chair with some quality leather armrests for maximum comfort.
- Back ? The back rest should be sturdy, yet soft. Flexibly tough, if you will. This is somewhat of a contradiction, but you'll know what I mean when you actually sit in a chair with one of these backs. You're going to want your lumbar to be supported, so this is pretty important!
- Seat ? Do your butt a favor and don't get a hard seat. Seriously, get one that is soft and meshy. I won't get into detail here, but just trust me on this one ? you'll thank me one day.
